Which PDFs work best?
Best with text-based PDFs that have clear, selectable columns. This extracts tables—not arbitrary PDF layouts. Each table stays separate in the JSON document; blank cells and duplicate headers are preserved as strings without type coercion.
No OCR here. For scanned PDFs, the text extractor offers OCR text only. Also available: PDF to Excel, PDF to CSV, and all PDF tools.
Example: PDF table to JSON
Each extracted table has its own columns and rows. Cell values remain strings, preserving text such as identifiers with leading zeros.
